Hello, my name is Neil Stevens and I am 35 years old. I'm glad you are visiting my website, I hope you like it and I especially hope you like my poetry. I have been writing poetry for over 16 years now and I still love to write. I think I will certainly be writing poems all my life, as writing poetry is just something I enjoy so much.
I don't really know what made me start writing in the first place, it was just an idea! Way back on the 1st of April 1993 I just decided that I would like to write some poems and on that day I wrote my very first poem which is called 'Who Is Alien?', you can read it on this website by visiting the 'My Work' page. Ever since that day I have just carried on writing and have absolutely no plans to ever stop!!
I am very glad that I have this website as it gives me a chance to do something which all poets should love to do, which is share my work with others. As I have said I hope that you enjoy the poems on the site and I also hope that one day we might meet so I can share more of my work with you. You can always write to me by visiting the 'Get In Touch' page of my website and sending me an email message. I will be very glad to hear from you and will make every effort to respond.
Even better than just a message, you could send me a poem of your own. I always love to read poems by other poets, as it's so good to know that other people are writing as well as me. I actually live in China now, which is a long way from the UK and yet I still write poems, so there is no reason why you can't do so too!
